Below you can see the approximate sailing distances for the various routes (start and end points) as well as options for accomodation. All accommodation takes place in tents or in the open air. A primitive overnight stay costs 30-40 DKK per person/night. You can find out more about the different tent sites and campsites at the bottom of this page.
Below is an overview of how a canoe trip can be planned. The note on the far right refers to an in-depth comment on the accommodation options at the accommodation in question at the bottom of this page.

Accommodation Options for Your Canoe Vacation
(1) Gram Slot Naturplads:
Gram Slot Naturplads has three shelters, a fire place and a large nature playground. It is located approx. 100 meters before the bridge in Gram. Reservations must be made in advance on tel. 74 82 00 40 or tel. 24 93 19 37. Find out more at www.gramslot.dk/naturskolen.
(2) Åbøl Bålplads:
Åbøl Bålplads is located right next to the creek. Here, you will find shelters and a fireplace as well as toilets by the car park. You must bring your own firewood and drinking water. Payments can be made at the cash register up under the roof of the shelter.
(3) Gelstoft Teltplads:
Gelstoft Teltplads offers a large plot located 20 meters from the creek with plenty of space for tents. Facilities include a fireplace and table benches as well as toilets in the yard approx. 50 meters away. You can contact Ove Sørensen, Sydvejen 10, 6510 Gram, tel. 40 32 32 61, for firewood and water.
(4) Enderupskov:
The tent site is located 100 meters before the bridge on your right hand side. There is plenty of space for tents as well as tables, benches and a fireplace. The toilet is located in the parking lot. You can contact Markus Hansen, Aftægten 3, Enderupskov, 6510 Gram, tel. 74 82 21 08 for firewood and water.
(5) Frihedsbroen:
The nature campsite is located close to the creek. There is a toilet and a fireplace and plenty of space for tents. You need to bring your own firewood and water. The address is Frihedsvej, 6600 Vejen or 6630 Rødding.
(6) Foldingbro Camping:
The campsite is located approx. 80 meters from the river. You should get off at the sign “Foldingbro Camping”. Tel: 75 38 10 78.
(7) Nielsbygårdsvej:
The campsite is located approx. 80 meters from the creek. Follow the road southward and the square will be on your left hand side.
(8) Kongeå Camping:
The campsite is located right next to the river after the bridge at Villebøl. Tel .: 30 68 35 04.
(9) Right after Kongeå camping. Is there a shelter space to the right of the stretch.
It is important that you only sail there if you are to sail on to Kongeåslusen.
If you have it as a final point, the canoes must go up by Kongeåcamping and then you cross the river on foot and follow the path on the opposite side of the river about 500 meters, after which you arrive at the shelter site.
It is not possible for us to pick up canoes at this shelter site.
(10) Just after Gredstedbro is Vildslev scout cabin.
Here there is water, toilet and two good shelters.
Nearby there is the opportunity to shop at the local grocery store.
(11) At Kongeåslusen there are 2 large shelters, a campfire site and a toilet. Be aware that there is no water.
